Twelve years working as a counsellor showed me the power and resilience of the human spirit. I realised I needed to expand my method of working to take greater account of this. Through training in hypnotherapy at The Atkinson-Ball College, I found a way to directly tap into a person's own resources for immediate results. We all face trauma, abuse or tragedy at certain times in our lives - what is important is not WHAT we face but HOW we face it. The impact of life's events upon us is frequently due to our subconscious thought patterns or internal programming. However these programmes can be accessed and re-written through hypnotherapy. Furthermore this can be done without having to relive disturbing memories. Our mind/beliefs influence our experience of life: therefore change your mind and you change your life. Hypnotherapy is a rapid and dynamic means of gently, safely and effortlessly changing your subconscious thought processes for the better - and for good. I work with adults, couples, groups and young people (CRB checked). I offer a combination of hypnotherapy and counselling where appropriate. Clients are genuinely surprised at how easily (and quickly) change comes about with hypnotherapy having spent so long struggling with emotional or physical discomforts such as weight management, relationships, exam nerves, phobias, anxiety, depression, ibs, sleeplessness, creativity, anger, migraine, asthma, ME and addictions. Carl Jung famously said he who "looks outside dreams, looks inside awakens" and for me, this is the essence of hypnotherapy.
